A few months ago, there was news that might have flown under the radar for our Hyundai fans that follow our blog. The automaker announced it would be entering the battles of hot hatchbacks with its i30 N model. While still in early stages, this car is gearing up to take the world by storm.
The i30 N announcement also brought with it the news that the Hyundai team would be competing in the 24h-Rennen Nürburging 2016. This race, a 24-hour nonstop race is incredibly tough and taxing, but Hyundai built a solid car which survived the entire race. If this is a sign of what could come, we could be in for seeing a car that will directly compete with the likes of Volkswagen GTI and Ford Focus ST.
With this news being so new we were surprised when we saw rumors of a more powerful version was already in the works. If either of these are true, enthusiasts will have a new car to fawn over, as Hyundai could start to make waves on the hot hatch scene.
