In a press release from yesterday, Hyundai announced that the 2016 Tucson recently earned the distinction of being named to the list 10 Best Family Cars of 2016 by Parents magazine and Edmunds.com. The annual list, now in it ninth iteration, highlights the best vehicles for families based on a variety of factors including ride quality, safety, reliability, comfort, value, and more.
Editors were particularly fond of Tucson's roominess, automatic swing-up tailgate, and kid-friendly features. The 2016 Tucson also offers available advanced safety features including Blind Spot Detection, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Tucson is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+.
“We understand parents look for vehicles that provide the top safety for their families and we took that seriously with the redesigned Tucson,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, corporate and product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “This recognition from Parents Magazine and Edmunds.com shows we are committed to providing better vehicles for our owners – through better safety, quality and design features that set us apart.”
